How to Expand Your Event’s Reach

How to Expand Your Event’s Reach

Let's Start A Conversation:

9/15/2017

Everybody wants to be known for throwing a fun and successful event. There are a few tips you need to consider for the next event your business is putting on whether it is a golf outing, conference, seminar, trade show, beer festival, award ceremony, or any other type of event. Let’s dive right in!

Offer Promotions

If you want anybody to come to your event, you have to communicate it to your target audience. It is important to have an extra something to entice people to register early. Some examples could be, “If you register by September 30th, you get a free beer coupon,” “If you invite a guest, you get a free mulligan at the golf outing,” or “If you share the event on social media, you get an extra ticket for the raffle.”

Reminders

Don’t let people forget about your event! You can send weekly or bi-weekly reminders through emails. Also, having signs up with all the relevant details in the local area will remind people that the event is soon. These can range from yard signs, banners, flyers, or anything else to get the word out. Promoting these signs on social media can expand your reach as well! The main goal is to create as much buzz about the event before it even happens.

Photogenic

Obviously, you want to make your event valuable and fun everyone involved, but one way to make it memorable is to have a visually appealing, photogenic environment. With big signs of your event name, company logo, sponsors logos, your hashtag, and your cause will forever be in the backgrounds of every picture taken at the event. You can make a designated spot that people are encouraged to take pictures at by having a fancy backdrop, display with cause, or statue like the “Love Indy” one you see all over downtown. This will cause more pictures to be taken and hopefully more shares of your event on social media with your brand in the pictures. This takes me to my next point… make sure your location has good Wi-Fi. You miss out on expanding your reach if nobody has access to posting to the internet about your event.

Your cause can be there, your value can be there, your entertainment can be there, but if nobody knows about your event, the event won’t live up to its potential. We want your event to exponentially grow your brand!
